Paul Plant, Digital Transformation Specialist

Paul is a highly experienced, digitally literate Strategic Marketeer, Digital Thought Leader, Entrepreneur and Change Agent with an enviable record of transforming and growing businesses through strategic insight and a strong commercial focus, while retaining a conscious eye on the end customer experience.

Digital Transformation has become a modern buzzword, yet too many companies make the big mistake of thinking that the topic is exclusively about technology, often losing sight of the impacts of change on the customer.

Successful digital transformation embraces the many and multi-faceted benefits of today's interconnected world to build better products, enter new markets, shorten supply chains, improve workplace efficiency, drive customer advocacy, and of course grow revenues and margins.

Paul has enjoyed a long and successful career working in the telecoms, media & technology sector. He started out in regional press before joining British Telecom, where he spent more than two decades in the senior ranks at Yell Group, working in both the UK and US.

Paul has always worked at the forefront of transformational business change. He was part of the team that launched yell.com in the UK in 1996, heading up New Media Sales & Operations, where he pioneered new processes and sales approaches to ensure that companies of all sizes could effectively embrace the opportunities presented by the Internet and other emerging digital technologies. His vast operational experience includes international M&A activity, Product Management, Innovation, Sales & Marketing Leadership, and Strategy Development.

He is active in the Digital Start-Up and Incubation arena, serving as a mentor and board advisor to a number of exciting new and diverse start-up ventures. In addition, he runs his own consulting practice, is an Associate Director of BIA/Kelsey Group, and is also an advisor to the executive board of The Local Search Association.

Paul is married, and lives in St Albans, UK.
